Have you ever wrestled a bear?
I have never wrestled a bear but I assembled and installed a murphy bed and that’s basically the same thing.

Living in the city you’re bound to get rats…especially if you like to feed birds. Recently I’ve noticed a rat hanging around and knew I had to do something about it.
Noooo, not Ratatouille!
Now, I actually really, really like rats as an animal. They are extremely intelligent and are actually really good pets for people who can’t have dogs – whether or allergy reasons or space reasons. They have a lot of personality and recognize their owners and will learn their owner’s mannerisms and schedules. They are basically like little dogs with long ass creepy tails.
Baltimore City always has something fun going on and this year I learned that Mt. Vernon Place Conservancy holds several free events throughout the summer in the Mt. Vernon Place parks. One of the series that piqued my interest was the “Art in the Park” series. Art in the Park is a series of classes throughout the summer. They teach watercolor, photography, cyanoprinting, etc. Their classes fill up quickly so it is important to sign up early and/or get put on a waitlist. You can view their events for the rest of the year here: http://mvpconservancy.org/events/
Art in the Park
The other week we were enjoying an evening in the back patio. Harley was enjoying some neck scritches and Bella was enjoying her Juliet moment.
That hits the spot!
Where fore art thou?
I wanted 2 column gas fire pits for my back patio but who knew that column gas fire pits were so expensive?! I didn’t know that I would be looking at fire pits in the $300-400 range for the size that I wanted.
My uncle got me a subscription to Family Handyman for Christmas and their May 2019 Magazine had plans for a nice block fire pit that you could make “in 1 day!” This fire pit was more square than I wanted and used a 20# propane tank, which was much bigger than I wanted. I want a fire pit that is easily moveable since my patio is so small I would like to tuck these fire pits out of the way when I’m not using them.
I thought if Family Handyman can make this fire pit then HOW HARD CAN IT BE?! I’M GOING TO MAKE MY OWN!
Thanks for the subscription, Uncle, It’s not like I didn’t have enough projects already!
Good Morning!
Every morning while drinking my coffee I like to gaze out into my garden & watch the city birds. I never thought that I would enjoy bird watching but I’ve always liked to listen to their chirps so watching them was a natural progression.
